Green Meeting

We warmly invite you to become part of our initiative, “AGIT goes green”! For many years, it has been our priority to shape the AGIT according to the principles of the PLUS Green Campus, focusing on environmental compatibility and sustainability. Together, we aim to create an inspiring atmosphere where we responsibly care for our ecosystems, resources and one another. Discover how our efforts actively contribute to climate protection and environmental preservation – and how you can easily make a difference during your visit. Join a sustainable movement that not only benefits the planet but also enhances your well-being.

Green Location

The Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg offers an exceptional academic event venue, nestled amidst the picturesque city mountains of Salzburg. Surrounded by lush green spaces, its very own botanical garden and the adjacent Freisaal nature reserve, the NLS Faculty (formerly NaWi) provides the perfect setting to experience the AGIT in a truly unique atmosphere while enjoying the beauty of nature. Visitors can relax between sessions, breathe in the fresh air and soak up the sun. The harmonious blend of science and nature creates an inspiring environment that promotes both comfort and creativity.

Did you know? In summer, just 10-15 minutes in the sun is enough to meet most of your daily vitamin-D needs. Why not spend your breaks by the pond or take a leisurely stroll through the greenery?

Travel Green

Traveling to Salzburg by train is an eco-friendly choice, ensuring a minimal environmental footprint. Once in Salzburg, the integrated public transport system offers seamless connections via the city’s zero-emission trolleybuses, taking you directly to the event venue. Thanks to its central location, the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences is easily accessible from many hotels, train stations (e.g., Salzburg Hbf, Salzburg Süd), and the airport via public transport.

Tip: Use your Climate Ticket (Klimaticket) for a hassle-free journey to the venue. If you don’t have one, we recommend using public transport, cycling or walking to get there.

From Salzburg Hauptbahnhof

  • Trolleybus Line 3 or 8: Stop at Faistauergasse (followed by a short walk)

  • Regional Bus Lines 170 or 175: Stop at Salzburg Akademiestraße (followed by a short walk)

From Salzburg Airport

  • Trolleybus Line 10: Stop at Rathaus, then transfer to Lines 170, 22, 8, or 11
